Meet Michael Brown

Owner of L.E. Brown Home Improvement

Born and raised in the heart of Warrenton, VA, Michael Brown’s journey into the world of plumbing and home improvement began early in life. His passion for sports, particularly football and basketball, shaped his discipline and determination from a young age.

A proud graduate of Fauquier High School in 2001, Michael continued his academic pursuits at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. In 2005, he proudly earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

However, Michael’s education extended beyond the classroom. Growing up, he immersed himself in the family business, L.E. Brown Home Improvement, established by his father in 1992. Learning the trades became second nature to him, thanks to his father’s guidance.

Michael’s roots in the industry run deep, with a grandfather who owned an excavation business and a first cousin excelling in the HVAC contracting field. During high school and college breaks, Michael actively worked alongside both, gaining invaluable insights into trade skills and business management.

Post-graduation, Michael dedicated five years to his father’s business before exploring new horizons. His experience broadened with a prominent plumbing outfit in northern Virginia. However, the call of family and the legacy of L.E. Brown Home Improvement beckoned him back after his father’s retirement.

Over the last twelve years, Michael has not only earned his master’s plumbing license and master’s gas fitters license but has also taken the reins of L.E. Brown Home Improvement, steering it towards continued success. Do you offer 24/7 emergency services?

Yes, plumbing problems can hit anytime so we can be reached for emergency services after hours. The dispatch fee is $150 and on Holidays there is a $200 dispatch fee. When we arrive, we will still give you our flat rate pricing so there will be no surprises or counting hours. You know what you’re paying upfront.

Do you offer free estimates?

There is a $100 non-emergency dispatch fee on most calls, but this money goes towards the cost of the work performed on the same day.

What are your payment methods?
Check, cash, or credit card.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we are fully licensed in the state of Virginia for plumbing and gas line work.
Do you offer warranties on your work?
We stand behind our labor for 1 year, and the many products we offer carry warranties from the manufacturers as well.

Pricing

Do you offer flat-rate pricing?
Yes, Our flat rate prices are given ahead of work taking place per task or broken down for our customer’s jobs with several tasks included. All jobs are quoted by a technician on-site to evaluate each unique problem.
What are your hourly rates?

There are no confusing hourly rates. We give a price for completing the job whether the job takes 2 hours or 2 days the price doesn’t change.

Are there any additional fees I should be aware of?

No confusing extra fees our flat rate pricing includes taxes, labor, material, and equipment unless you are providing your own fixture. The price you see is the price you pay.

Emergencies

What should I do in case of a plumbing emergency?
In case of an emergency shut the main water supply off to your home and in some cases, the breaker to your well pump should be turned off as well. Give us a call and tell us the issue. We would be happy to walk you through the steps to take until our technician arrives.

A – We answer local numbers right away and if it’s an emergency, offer scheduling options for you on the spot

No but we accept major credit cards.

Yes, we include eco-friendly solutions from Energy Star-certified water heaters to low-flow toilets. We want to provide the solutions and options that are important to you.
